THE SHANGHAI SUN

With support from the Antwerp diamantairs HRD Antwerp will be taking part in the Belgium Diamond Pavilion at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai.
On display until October 31st, HRD Antwerp will be exhibiting an impressive collection of diamonds.

The largest exhibited diamond, the Shanghai Sun, is an impressive 100.88 carat Fancy Intense Yellow diamond. Originating from Botswana, the jewel was cut by Safdico in Antwerp.
The Shanghai Sun was presented to Mr. Xí Jìnpíng by Mr Johnny Kneller, CEO of Safdico, during his last visit to Belgium. A senior leader of the People’s Republic of China, he currently serves as the top-ranking member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of China, the country’s Vice President.
