Pursuit of perfection a family legacy

Jay Bartlett knew from a very young age what he wanted to do in life. Growing up studying the meticulous craft of his father Kim, a respected master jeweller and successful businessman, Jay was schooled in the art of hard work and pursuing perfection.
More than anything, he was taught that the results of his painstaking labour could bring joy to hundreds of others for many years to come.

Now jointly at the helm of the family business that his father first started in 1974, Jay is helping to steer the company towards the future which, not surprisingly, may one day involve welcoming a third generation to the fold.

And the father-son duo couldn’t be happier. Nurturing those family values has helped to propel Kim Bartlett Master Jewellers to all new heights since opening a new design studio on Denham Street in July of this year. Loyal clients have followed the business to its new address, drawn by their appreciation for timeless design and the quality that only a hand-crafted item can preserve.
But that’s only a glimpse of why the business has continued to thrive some 38 years on.

Always looking to innovate, Kim and Jay, who are recognised nationally for their industry-leading qualifications, have introduced an exclusive collection by high-end jewellery maker Ole Lyngaard Copenhagen, an iconic brand that is famously adored by Princess Mary and supermodel Helena Christensen, amongst many other celebrities worldwide.

Just like the Bartlett’s, the family-run Ole Lynggaard house sources only the world’s finest gems and precious metals to manufacture both elegant and flawless jewellery. As the only retailers of the legendary brand in Queensland, Kim Bartlett Master Jewellers now displays the full range in-store and online, recently launching an e-commerce site to serve valued clients both near and far.

Kim and Jay invite you to discover how the gift of custom designed and hand-crafted jewellery will be cherished for a lifetime and passed down through generations to come.
